Fully Preconfigured Edge Service

Choose the fully preconfigured edge service installation if the destination network cannot provide an IP for the new virtual machine (no DHCP available in this network and there is no way to manually set a specific static IP from the network equipment. Review documentation to learn how to set up a fully preconfigured Edge Service:

Be sure to check your network and connectivity requirements prior to VM creation.

Note

The generated ES is listed under Settings→Edge Services in VDR. Once the VM can communicate with the VDR cloud, its status changes to Healthy.
