Log In to XDRπŸ”—

Important

Secureworks® Taegis™ XDR is undergoing an authentication provider migration. If your account has been invited to migrate to the new authentication platform, follow the account migration instructions below. If not, follow the legacy authentication instructions.

Account MigrationπŸ”—

During the migration window, or when initially invited to a Secureworks® Taegis™ XDR tenant, you will receive an email invitation containing a temporary password and a link.

Note

The temporary password remains valid for seven days from when the email is sent.

  1. Select Verify from the email invitation to begin the registration process.

  2. Select your preferred language from a choice of English or Japanese and input your email address.

  3. Review the Secureworks General Terms, XDR Product Terms, and Secureworks Privacy Notice. Select the checkbox to agree and then select Continue.

  4. Type or paste the temporary password from your invitation email and then enter a new password that meets the complexity criteria listed on the right side.

    As each criteria item is satisfied, a green check mark displays.

  5. Select Submit to proceed to set up MFA authentication.

Secureworks® Taegis™ XDR is verified to work with the following authentication applications:

Note

Any authenticator that is compliant with Time-based One-Time Password algorithm (TOTP) should work.

Configure Multi-Factor AuthenticationπŸ”—

  1. Enter the one-time verification code sent via email and select Submit.

  2. Use your preferred MFA application to scan the generated QR code.

    If you’re not able to scan the QR code at the time of setup, select Unable to scan QR code? and copy the secret string into your MFA application instead.

  3. Use the verification code from your MFA application and select Submit to finalize the registration process.

Log In to XDRπŸ”—

To log in to XDR, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to XDR in a supported browser, using the correct URL for your region.

  2. The login dialog displays. Enter your email address and select Continue.

    Note

    If SSO has been configured for your tenant, you will be redirected to your organization's identity provider to complete login.

  3. The password dialog displays. Enter your password and select Login.

  4. The multi-factor authentication dialog displays. Enter the code from your MFA application and select Continue.

    If you haven’t set up your multi-factor authentication for XDR yet, see Configure Multi-Factor Authentication.

    Tip

    If you're unable to access your MFA application, select Send Temporary Code to have a one-time code sent to the email address associated to your account.

  5. XDR displays your default page.

Reset Your PasswordπŸ”—

If you need to reset your password, or you can’t remember it:

  1. Navigate to the login page using your region URL, and select Reset Password.

  2. The Forgot Password dialog displays. Select Continue to proceed or Back to opt-out.

  3. Check the email associated to your XDR account for reset instructions.

Passwords in XDR must meet the following criteria:

  • Be at least 14 characters long
  • Contain at least one lowercase character (a-z)
  • Contain at least one uppercase character (A-Z)
  • Contain at least one number (0-9)
  • Contain at least one special character (!, #, $, %, or a character from extended ASCII)
  • Be different from the previous 10 passwords
  • Not contain part of your username or email
  • Not contain 3+ repetitive characters
  • Not exceed the maximum 256 characters

Reset Your Multi-Factor AuthenticationπŸ”—

You can reset your multi-factor authentication for XDR from Profile Settings. To do so:

  1. In your browser, navigate to XDR.
  2. The login dialog displays. Enter your email address and select Continue.

  3. The password dialog displays. Enter your password and select Login.

  4. The multi-factor authentication dialog displays. If you no longer have access to your multi-factor app, select Send Temporary Code to have one-time code sent to the email address associated to your account.

  5. The Temporary Code dialog displays. Enter the one-time code sent to the email address associated to your account and select Submit.

  6. XDR displays. Navigate to Profile Settings to reset your multi-factor authentication.

Troubleshoot Log-In or App Initialization IssuesπŸ”—

If you experience an issue logging in to XDR or receive an application initialization error such as the following, we recommend you clear your browser site data, close the browser completely, and then attempt to log in again.

Troubleshoot Blocked User Account IssuesπŸ”—

When XDR encounters five consecutive failed login attempts for the same user account, the account will be locked out for one second. The lockout duration then doubles after each additional failed attempt up to a maximum of approximately 15 minutes.

Note

Attempts made during a lockout period generate a Password attempts exceeded error, and do not affect the duration of subsequent lockout periods.
