Customer Notice: Evolving Our Endpoint Protection🔗

On July 31, 2026, we will end support for Red Cloak™ for all Secureworks® customers.

We are committed to providing customers with the best possible advanced threat detection and response solutions. We built the Taegis Endpoint Agent to address the current dynamic requirements including superior detection, response, and performance. We have continued to extend capabilities for a comprehensive solution, beyond the capabilities of our original Red Cloak Endpoint Agent.

We offer the Taegis Endpoint Agent with existing Taegis XDR subscriptions, providing customers with superior benefits from its capabilities, including:

  • Improved performance on supported operating systems including Linux and Windows
  • Introduced new operating system support for MacOS threat detection and response
  • Enhanced threat detection capabilities:

    • 32% improved threat detection compared to Red Cloak
    • Improved time to alert detection
  • Improved integration with the Taegis XDR platform

  • Ongoing support and security updates

Supporting Your Transition from Red Cloak🔗

We appreciate the challenges involved when updating technology environments and endpoint security controls. We are here to ensure a smooth, successful transition for our customers based on the following timeline:

  • September 1, 2024: The provisioning of new deployments and/or building new packages on Red Cloak ended, though we continue to invest in and build new packages on the Sophos Endpoint Agent.
  • July 31, 2025: Secureworks will support all customers as they transition from Red Cloak to the Sophos Endpoint Agent and/or a third-party EDR agent of their choice.
  • July 31, 2026: Secureworks will end support for the Red Cloak Agent, including technical support, bug fixes, and security updates, to prioritize the Sophos Endpoint Agent and other supported agents. Until this date, users will not receive non-security fixes, feature updates, or design changes. We will support the Sophos Endpoint Agent and/or a customer’s chosen EDR agent in its place.

Secureworks representatives are reaching out to customers to ensure a seamless transition by:

  • Developing an upgrade plan
  • Providing resources and tools to aid in the transition, with the ability to work with Product Support as needed
  • Exploring additional features and benefits of the Taegis XDR platform, with the option to engage Secureworks Professional Services team

We have also developed a comprehensive suite of resources to assist in migrating to the Taegis Endpoint Agent, including:

  • Migration Guide: A step-by-step guide to transitioning from the Red Cloak EDR Agent to the Taegis Endpoint Agent
  • Knowledge Base Articles: Detailed articles covering configuration, troubleshooting, and best practices for the Taegis Endpoint Agent
  • Training Resources: Educational resources to help you fully leverage the capabilities of the Taegis XDR platform

We will work with our customers closely to aid in this transition to the Taegis Endpoint Agent, offering greater detection capabilities and protection to their businesses.
